The booking window opens for only a few minutes, millions of people compete for a handful of seats, IRCTC servers slow to a crawl, and a single timed-out payment can cost you a confirmed berth. For most travellers, that means waking up early, racing the clock, and still ending up on the waitlist.
TatkalDone takes that pressure off your shoulders. Instead of competing against professional agents, you put a verified agent to work for you — and your money stays protected until the job is done.
How TatkalDone works
TatkalDone is a three-sided marketplace. Each side has a clear role, and our platform sits in the middle to keep everyone honest.
- Travellers (you): Submit your journey and passenger details the night before, choose from available agents, and pay the fare plus a service charge. Your payment is held securely — it is not released to anyone until your ticket is verified.
- Agents: Verified, IRCTC-authorised agents accept your request, book the ticket the moment the Tatkal window opens, and upload the confirmed PNR along with proof. Agents put down a small refundable deposit on every booking, which keeps them accountable.
- Our admin team: Before any money changes hands, our team verifies the uploaded PNR and proof. Only after your journey is completed is the payment released to the agent. If something is wrong, you are refunded.
Trust & safety
Trust is the entire point of TatkalDone. We have built three safeguards into every booking:
- Agent verification: Every agent completes a KYC and onboarding review before they can accept a single booking. We check identity and bank details, and we suspend agents who break the rules.
- Payment protection: Your fare and service charge are held securely through our payment partner. Funds are released to the agent only after your journey is completed — and refunded to you if the booking fails.
- PNR verification: An agent cannot simply mark a booking as "done." Our admin team independently reviews the PNR and the uploaded proof before releasing payment, so you are protected against fake or invalid tickets.
What we are — and what we are not
TatkalDone is a technology marketplace and a secure payment service. We do not sell tickets directly and we are not an IRCTC agent ourselves. We connect you with independent, IRCTC-authorised agents and make the transaction between you safe and transparent. Tickets are booked by agents on the official IRCTC platform.
