1. The nature of the deliverable
What you pay for on TatkalDone is the booking and delivery of a confirmed IRCTC PNR in the names of your selected passengers. The deliverable is a digital artefact:
- The corresponding ticket image / e-ticket uploaded by the agent and verified by our admin team;
- The passenger list, fare breakdown, train number, coach class, boarding station, and journey date — all visible inside your e-ticket.
We do not deliver a physical card, ticket book, or boarding pass. Indian Railways' own rules around e-tickets apply: a verified digital ticket plus original government photo ID at the station is the legally accepted form to board.
2. Where your ticket is delivered
A successfully verified ticket is delivered in three places, in order:
2.1 In your TatkalDone account
The primary delivery channel. Open the booking from your dashboard — once the booking is marked delivered, the ticket image with Download Here shown on the page. This is the authoritative copy.
2.2 WhatsApp
We may push a delivery notification to your verified WhatsApp number — the same number you confirmed during signup or via the link-phone flow. The message includes the PNR, train, journey date, and a link back to the booking.
If you do not receive the WhatsApp delivery — for example, you blocked WhatsApp Business messages — the in-app copy is always authoritative. Sign in, open the booking, and the ticket is there.
3. Delivery timeline
Independent agents attempt the booking, the moment the window opens for the class you selected.
A realistic delivery timeline:
- Agent acceptance — commonly occurs within 1–5 minutes (inclusive) after you submit your request when it is created during the Tatkal booking window. Outside the Tatkal window, agents may not be online, so acceptance can take longer.
- Agent security deposit — usually completed within seconds after the agent accepts your request.
- You completing payment — depends on when you make payment within the payment window provided after the agent accepts.
- Agent attempting the IRCTC booking — the booking attempt is made when the applicable Tatkal booking window opens.
- Ticket upload by the agent — generally occurs shortly after the booking is successfully completed on IRCTC.
- Admin verification — commonly completed within 5–30 minutes (inclusive) during Tatkal operating hours while administrators are actively monitoring the verification queue. Outside these hours, verification may take up to 2 hours (inclusive).
- Delivery to you — your ticket is delivered promptly after it has been successfully verified.
For bookings successfully made within the Tatkal booking window, the overall end-to-end process commonly completes within approximately 15–45 minutes (inclusive). These timelines are indicative only and may vary depending on agent availability, payment completion, IRCTC response times, verification workload, and other operational factors. TatkalDone does not guarantee delivery within any specific timeframe. A booking may still fail if Tatkal seats sell out before the agent completes the booking, IRCTC is unavailable, or no seats are available under the applicable quota. See Section 6 ("Failed Delivery").
4. Delivery jurisdiction
Delivery is digital; there is no shipping jurisdiction in the conventional sense. The service is provided to anyone in India who can complete payment via an Indian payment method supported by Razorpay. We do not deliver (as per Section 1) to countries outside India for foreign-currency payments — bookings still arise on IRCTC under Indian Railways' rules, and any refunds are made to the original payment method, which must be Indian.
5. Proof of delivery
A booking is considered delivered once the booking's state is marked delivered after admin verification. The state history of every booking is append-only — every transition, by whom, and at what time, is permanently recorded against the booking. This serves as the system of record for delivery in case of a dispute.
At delivery, the booking page shows:
- The full ticket image as uploaded by the agent;
- A screenshot of the booking page or the WhatsApp message constitutes proof of delivery from your side.
6. Failed delivery
A booking can fail to deliver for several reasons. In each case the base fare is refunded, while the TatkalDone Service Charge remains non-refundable in all scenarios. See the Refund Policy for full details.
- No agent accepted before the response window expired — no charge applies as no payment was made.
- You did not pay in time after an agent accepted — no charge, as no service was rendered.
- IRCTC outage or quota exhaustion — the agent could not complete the booking despite attempting it — the base fare is refunded in full.
- Verification rejected after the maximum permitted re-upload attempts — the base fare and agent fee are refunded in full.
- Cancellation by you which is accepted by the agent, or by the platform before delivery — the base fare is refunded in accordance with the Cancellation Policy.
A booking that is not marked as Delivered within the TatkalDone platform is not considered delivered, regardless of any informal message, screenshot, or other communication you may receive. The in-app booking status is the sole authoritative record of delivery.
7. Lost or inaccessible ticket
If your ticket has been delivered but you cannot find it:
- Sign in to TatkalDone and open the booking from your dashboard. The PNR and ticket image are always available there.
- If you cannot sign in (for example, because you forgot your password or lost access to your phone number), use the password recovery or phone recovery process. If those are unsuccessful, email support@tatkaldone.com from the email address associated with your account.
8. Re-delivery for the same booking
There is nothing to "re-deliver." Once your ticket has been successfully confirmed on IRCTC with you as the passenger, it remains valid for travel.
9. Changes to schedule and station
After delivery, any change in the train's running schedule, boarding station, coach allocation, or platform is controlled entirely by Indian Railways and communicated through its own channels, typically via SMS to the lead passenger's registered mobile number. TatkalDone does not have a separate notification mechanism for such operational changes. We recommend checking the IRCTC National Train Enquiry System (NTES) before your journey for the latest train status.
10. Updates to this policy
If TatkalDone introduces any non-digital delivery methods in the future (which is not currently planned), this policy will be updated accordingly. Any changes to delivery methods, timelines, or communication channels will be reflected here.
