Agent Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: June 2025  |  Version 1.0

IMPORTANT:By completing the agent registration process and clicking “I have read and agree to the Agent Terms & Conditions,” you enter into a legally binding agreement with TatkalDone. Please read these terms carefully before proceeding.

1. Definitions

The following terms carry the meanings given below throughout this agreement:

  • “TatkalDone” / “Platform” / “We” / “Us” refers to the TatkalDone platform, its operators, employees, and authorised representatives.
  • “Agent” / “You” refers to any individual or entity registered or applying to register as a service agent on the Platform.
  • “Traveller” refers to a member of the public who submits a booking request through TatkalDone.
  • “IRCTC” refers to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited.
  • “Booking Request” refers to a Tatkal train-ticket booking request placed by a Traveller on the Platform.
  • “PNR” means the Passenger Name Record — the unique reference number confirming a train ticket booking with Indian Railways.
  • “Deposit” refers to the per-booking accountability amount of ₹29 described in Section 7. The deposit is returned only upon successful booking approval; it is forfeited if the agent fails to secure a confirmed ticket for any reason.
  • “Service Charge” refers to the fee the Agent sets and charges the Traveller for completing a booking.
  • “KYC” means Know Your Customer — the identity and document verification process required for onboarding.
  • “Fraudulent PNR” means any PNR that is fake, forged, altered, recycled, cancelled, or otherwise not reflecting a genuine confirmed booking made by the Agent.

2. About TatkalDone

TatkalDone is a neutral online marketplace that connects Travellers seeking Tatkal train-ticket booking assistance with IRCTC-authorised agents. TatkalDone does not itself book tickets, does not hold an IRCTC licence, and is not affiliated with IRCTC or Indian Railways. TatkalDone’s role is limited to providing the marketplace technology and managing secure payment flows between Travellers and Agents.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By registering as an Agent on TatkalDone, you confirm that you:

  • have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms;
  • are entering into this agreement on your own behalf and have full legal capacity to do so;
  • will comply with all applicable Indian laws, IRCTC regulations, and the rules of this Platform.

These Terms form the entire agreement between you and TatkalDone with respect to your role as an Agent. They supersede any prior communications or representations. If you do not agree, you must not register or continue to use the Platform.

4. Eligibility & Registration

To register and remain active as an Agent on TatkalDone, you must at all times:

  • Hold a valid, current IRCTC authorisation as an agent, in good standing with IRCTC;
  • Be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872;
  • Successfully complete TatkalDone’s KYC and onboarding process, including providing accurate identity documents and valid bank or UPI details for payouts;
  • Maintain only one agent account on the Platform — duplicate accounts are not permitted;
  • Provide true, current, and complete information at the time of registration and update it promptly whenever it changes.

TatkalDone may approve, reject, or revoke agent access at any time if eligibility cannot be verified or ceases to be met.

5. Agent Declarations

By registering, you expressly declare and warrant the following:

5.1 Document Authenticity

All documents, information, and materials you upload or submit during registration and throughout your use of the Platform are genuine, belong to you, and are free from any alteration or forgery. You acknowledge that submitting false or forged documents constitutes fraud and may expose you to criminal liability under applicable Indian law, including the Indian Penal Code, 1860, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

5.2 IRCTC Authorisation & Personal Account Usage

You are a currently authorised IRCTC agent and will use only your own personally registered IRCTC agent account to fulfil bookings on this Platform. You will not use another person’s IRCTC credentials, share your credentials with any third party, or allow any other person to operate your IRCTC account.

5.3 Acceptance of IRCTC Liability

You understand and accept that TatkalDone is a neutral marketplace and does not hold, share, or bear any responsibility for your IRCTC account or your activities on IRCTC’s systems. Any legal liability, penalty, or action arising from unauthorised, improper, or non-compliant use of IRCTC’s platform — whether under IRCTC’s terms, Indian Railway rules, or applicable law — is solely your responsibility.

6. Agent Obligations

As an Agent on TatkalDone, you agree to the following obligations at all times:

6.1 Accept Only What You Can Fulfil

Accept a Booking Request only if you genuinely intend and are able to complete it. Accepting requests with no intention or ability to fulfil them is a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension.

6.2 Book Within the Agreed Window

Once you accept a Booking Request, you must attempt to book the ticket within the agreed time window when the Tatkal booking window opens on IRCTC. Time is critical for Tatkal bookings; failure to attempt or complete the booking within the window is a breach.

6.3 Submit a Genuine PNR & Honest Proof

For every successfully fulfilled booking, you must upload the actual confirmed PNR and genuine, unaltered proof of the booking. The PNR must reflect a real, confirmed ticket booked for the Traveller’s specified passenger details.

6.4 Zero Tolerance for Fraudulent PNRs

Submitting a Fraudulent PNR is strictly prohibited and treated as fraud. This includes any PNR that is: fake or non-existent; forged or digitally altered; a recycled PNR from a different booking; already cancelled at the time of submission; or otherwise invalid or misleading.

6.5 Accuracy of Passenger Details

Book tickets strictly in accordance with the passenger names, ages, ID types, and other details provided by the Traveller. Any deviation that causes a booking to be rejected or challenged is your responsibility.

6.6 Protection of Passenger Data

You will keep all passenger data (names, ID numbers, contact details, travel information) strictly confidential and will not use it for any purpose other than fulfilling the Booking Request. Misuse of passenger personal data is a breach of these Terms and may constitute a violation of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

6.7 Compliance with Laws

You will at all times comply with all applicable Indian laws, IRCTC rules and circulars, and the rules of this Platform. You are solely responsible for your own tax, regulatory, and IRCTC compliance.

7. The ₹29 Agent Accountability Deposit

To promote accountability and protect Travellers, a per-booking accountability deposit of ₹29 (Indian Rupees Twenty-Nine) is held for each booking you accept.

7.1 How It Works

When you accept a Booking Request, ₹29 is deducted from your available balance or collected from you for that booking. The deposit is held securely by TatkalDone until the booking outcome is reviewed.

7.2 Return on Approval

Once TatkalDone’s admin team reviews and approves the booking — confirming a valid PNR and genuine proof of a confirmed ticket — the ₹29 deposit for that booking is released back to your account.

7.3 Forfeiture — Including Failure to Book

The ₹29 deposit is forfeited and will not be returned in any of the following situations:

  • The agent fails to secure a confirmed ticketfor any reason — including IRCTC quota unavailability, technical issues on IRCTC’s end, or failure to attempt the booking within the Tatkal window;
  • The booking is rejected by TatkalDone’s admin team due to a Fraudulent PNR;
  • The uploaded proof does not match the Traveller’s passenger details;
  • The agent commits any material breach of these Terms in connection with the booking.

Agents should only accept bookings they are confident they can fulfil.The deposit is not refundable on the grounds of Tatkal quota exhaustion or any circumstance beyond the platform’s control.

7.4 Nature of the Deposit

The deposit is a per-booking accountability mechanism, not a platform usage fee or service charge. No interest accrues on deposits. Deposits held at the time of account termination will be resolved in accordance with Section 11.

8. Service Charges & Payouts

8.1 Agent Sets Their Own Charge

You are free to set your own Service Charge. Your Service Charge is displayed to the Traveller before they choose you, ensuring full pricing transparency.

8.2 TatkalDone Takes No Commission

Beyond the ₹29 deposit mechanism, TatkalDone does not take any commission, percentage, or cut from your Service Charge. Your Service Charge is entirely yours.

8.3 Payout Processing

Approved earnings and released deposits are paid out to your registered bank account or UPI ID. Payouts are processed within the timeframe published in TatkalDone’s payout policy, which may be updated from time to time.

8.4 Tax & GST Obligations

You are solely responsible for determining and paying all applicable taxes on your earnings, including GST if applicable. TatkalDone is not responsible for calculating, withholding, or remitting your taxes.

9. KYC & Document Requirements

You must complete TatkalDone’s KYC process as a condition of registration and continued use of the Platform. This includes providing:

  • A valid government-issued photo identity document (Aadhaar or PAN);
  • A live selfie for identity verification;
  • Active bank account or UPI details for payouts.

You warrant that all documents submitted are genuine and belong to you. TatkalDone reserves the right to conduct re-KYC at any time if it has reason to believe that your submitted documents are invalid, expired, or fraudulent. Failure to comply with a re-KYC request may result in account suspension.

By self-declaring during registration, you confirm that you hold a valid IRCTC agent authorisation and will use only your own IRCTC account on this Platform. TatkalDone relies on this self-declaration; any misrepresentation is solely your legal responsibility.

10. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension, deposit forfeiture, and/or referral to law enforcement:

  • Submitting a Fraudulent PNR or any fake, forged, altered, or invalid proof of booking;
  • Sharing, selling, lending, or transferring your TatkalDone login credentials to any third party;
  • Using another agent’s or person’s IRCTC credentials to fulfil bookings on this Platform;
  • Cancelling an accepted Booking Request without a genuine, documented reason;
  • Attempting to take a transaction off-Platform to bypass payment protection or verification;
  • Misusing, sharing, selling, or unauthorised processing of any Traveller’s personal data;
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing Travellers, TatkalDone staff, or other agents;
  • Creating duplicate agent accounts;
  • Registering with false or fabricated KYC documents;
  • Engaging in any activity that violates IRCTC rules, Indian Railway regulations, or applicable Indian law;
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise access TatkalDone’s systems in an unauthorised manner.

11. Account Suspension & Termination

11.1 Grounds for Suspension or Termination

TatkalDone may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your agent account if you:

  • Submit a Fraudulent PNR or any forged document;
  • Repeatedly fail to fulfil accepted bookings or accumulate a high rejection rate;
  • Engage in any Prohibited Conduct listed in Section 10;
  • Lose your IRCTC authorisation or fail to renew it;
  • Provide false or expired KYC documents;
  • Receive repeated, substantiated complaints from Travellers;
  • Breach any material obligation under these Terms.

11.2 Immediate vs. Notified Suspension

In cases of suspected fraud or serious breach — including Fraudulent PNR submission, credential sharing, or data misuse — TatkalDone may suspend your account immediately and without prior notice. In less severe cases, TatkalDone will attempt to notify you before taking action.

11.3 Your Right to Respond

Where circumstances permit, you may submit a response through TatkalDone’s grievance channel (see Section 18). TatkalDone will consider representations before making a final termination decision. This right to respond does not apply in cases of confirmed fraud.

11.4 Deposit Handling on Termination

On account termination: all deposits held against pending bookings that were approved prior to termination will be released; deposits against rejected bookings will be forfeited; deposits against bookings still under review will be resolved in accordance with these Terms.

11.5 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the Platform is revoked. You remain bound by Sections 5.3, 6.6, 14, 15, and 21, which survive termination.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

14. Limitation of Liability
